At Chai Bakery, we take great care to ensure your baked goods arrive fresh and delicious. Please review our shipping policy below before placing an order.

Processing & Shipping Times

  • Please allow 2–5 business days for order processing (baking and packaging).

  • Once processed, delivery typically takes 2–5 business days, depending on your location.

  • We only deliver on weekends, depending on you location.

  • Orders placed after 10:00 AM on Wednesdays will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

  • Cut-off time for Monday shipping is Friday at 10:00 AM. Orders placed after this time will ship on Tuesday.

We try our best to avoid weekend courier delays, but if your package does spend time in transit over a weekend, don’t worry — your treats will still be in great condition on arrival.

Delivery Options

We offer three convenient delivery methods:

1. Standard Door Delivery

Your package will be delivered to the address provided at checkout within 3–5 business days.

Urgent Deliveries

If you need same-day, weekend, or public holiday delivery, please contact us directly before placing your order.
We will try to accommodate urgent requests where possible.
Additional courier fees will apply, calculated based on location and timing.

Free Shipping

Orders over R1000 qualify for free standard shipping (3–5 days).

Important Notes

  • Incorrect Information: If your order is returned due to an incorrect address or unavailability at delivery, you will be liable for:

    • The return courier fee

    • A R100 admin/reprocessing fee

    • OR forfeiting the order if we cannot re-ship

  • Delivery Delays: We are not responsible for late deliveries due to courier delays or events outside our control.

  • Damage in Transit: Once your order leaves our facility, we are not liable for damage during transit. Please inspect your package on arrival and report any issues directly to the courier.

  • PUDO Deliveries: If you select PUDO Locker Delivery, you must provide the correct locker address. If not provided, we will choose the closest locker to your given location. We are not liable for misrouted PUDO deliveries due to missing or incorrect information.
