CHAI was founded by Inge and Winandt Vedder, a husband-and-wife duo with a passion for creativity, cookies, and of course, Chai Lattes. That’s exactly where the name CHAI comes from — their shared love for that cozy, spiced cup of joy.
Meet Inge – The Creator
Inge is the brains and baker behind CHAI’s mouthwatering creations. A food scientist by training and a product developer by heart, she’s always experimenting with new flavors, textures, and recipes. Whether she’s whipping up a classic or inventing something bold, Inge is the kind of person who can make magic happen in the kitchen — all while thinking three steps ahead.
She’s been baking for as long as she can remember, and CHAI is her way of sharing that passion with the world. For Inge, cookies aren’t just cookies. They’re little moments of joy, comfort, and creativity — and she wants everyone to have a taste.
Every cookie, every box, every post is a little piece of her vision, baked with love and served with soul. She’s the kind of founder who wears every hat — and still remembers to dust them all with powdered sugar.
Meet Winandt - The Dreamer
Every great team has its secret ingredient — and for CHAI, that’s Winandt. By day, he’s an auditor, crunching numbers and balancing spreadsheets. But behind the scenes, he’s the heartbeat of CHAI’s story — always dreaming bigger, believing harder, and cheering the loudest.
Winandt is CHAI’s in-house entertainer, voiceover artist, and comic relief — the guy behind the funny reels and captions that make people stop scrolling and start smiling. But more than that, he’s Inge’s biggest supporter. He believes fiercely in her talent and vision, and he’s always there — behind the camera, behind the counter, and behind every big leap she takes.
His energy, humour, and unwavering faith in what they’re building together turn CHAI from a bakery into something personal — a little bit magic, a little bit mischief, and a whole lot of love.
